Shoe Review Specialist – Diane Tracy

About Diane Tracy:

I started running in junior high school doing the hurdles and 400 meters. By 1969 I was into jogging and bought my first pair of Puma running shoes and my first book on Jogging by Bill Bowerman. I ran track for BYU . After graduation I ran to lose weight and for competition. In 1977 I completed my first marathon , the Deseret News. After that I was hooked and have been doing marathons and mixed distance ever since. My PR for the Marathon is 3:24 and the Half Marathon 1:30. MY streak for the St George Marathon is 22 years. One of my happiest memories is completing the 100th Boston Marathon with 40,000 plus runners. Then doing the Boston the year after the bombing. I am an analyst at work and love to analyze athletic performance data. Gear is also a passion and have been known to buy 2- 3 running shoes every 3 weeks or so. It has been interesting to see the clothing and gear change for the better over the years. MY first running shorts were basketball shorts and I wore cotton tee shirts. Now it seems the choices are overwhelming. My objective is to find the most functional shoes and gear and the best price. I am happy to share findings and research on shoes and gear.
